Volunteers Week at International House

Volunteers Week at International House

We are celebrating Volunteers’ Week this June, from 10th to 14th. There will be a variety of events taking place throughout the week, organised by Policy Centre for African Peoples, one of our GIVE tenants, who are located on the first floor as a part of the youth innovation hub run by Business Launchpad.

The week will commence with a tenants’ fair to showcase and celebrate some of the amazing organisations and volunteers supporting them that are based out of our offices. This will give tenants an opportunity to network and create connections in order to find out how they can better support one another within the building.

Among those showcasing are We Rise, a community business empowering future talent, KYND, a cyber risk prevention product, ActionPlus Foundation, an NGO supporting people affected by HIV, Policy Centre for African Peoples, promoting social engagement among African individuals and the general public through education and leadership development and Respeito, on a mission to reduce and prevent domestic abuse in the Portugese speaking community living in the UK.

On Thursday 13th there will be a free fitness and wellness session for volunteer tenants run by Sylvie Bradwell from the Policy Centre for African Peoples. The week will close with an award ceremony held in our event space to celebrate the achievements of volunteers.
