The Big Fix with The Restart Project

This weekend, GIVE tenant The Restart Project is joining The Big Fix with a Restart Party in our ground floor event space. On 12th Feb, dozens of repair groups across the UK are uniting for Britain's biggest repair cafe! The Big Fix is a community-run repair day up and down the country coordinated by Recycle Devon and Devon County Council in partnership with all participating Repair Cafes, raising awareness of the amazing work that volunteers do.

The purpose of these events is not only to empower people to learn to fix and reduce waste but to create a space for people to share skills that may otherwise be lost.

This Saturday, bring your broken electronic devices to Brixton; everything from electricals, lamps, vacuum cleaners, laptops, toys; and learn to repair them with the help of The Restart Project’s volunteers, picking up some electronics skills along the way. All skill levels are welcome.

Additionally, the amazing Rosie the Restarters will be joining the event to encourage more women and non-binary people to get involved in repair, with a goal to be the Big Fix event with the most women and non-binary repairers! Join them to make this happen!
